Last post pre surgery...

Okay, last post...My friend just took this picture of me in my "going home from the hospital outfit..." and we thought it was hilarious...last time you'll see me like this, for sure...

My surgery is tomorrow morning...I will post as soon as I am able to post...



I love you all!! Think good thoughts for me tomorrow...

Sumo box deadlifts and push up planks video...

So I think the video I made of my workout tonight was pretty cool:





I basically had a personal training session with one of the trainers and we did a bunch of legs and stuff. She had me do two new moves I've never done before, and I felt good doing them, especially the plank push ups! Those suckers are hard...I told my trainer that I would be happy to do just one and I was able to do many more than that...I guess I underestimate myself sometimes, you know?

Anyway...this is a short 2:00 video. I'm trying to capture my fitness level leading up to my surgery...I just think that's a good idea to document that, for a variety of reasons...

And you will note my awesome Christmas socks are featured!

First videotaped workout at Headhunters Crossfit...

I did manage to make a video of last night's Crossfit class. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out...It's the first video I've had of a group class at my new Crossfit gym, and I'm pleased with how I edited it...

You will notice that I CONSTANTLY take off my headband and put it back on. I've done this since I've started exercising...I don't know why I do that...but, you see it a few times in this video specifically...

And, you will also notice that I do this thing where I count down my rest on my hands...like, in the video, I'm giving myself 5 more seconds then I will start...I do that a lot too...haha

I was only doing 20 pounds less than the dudes in the class, and the only chick who did 75 pounds. Of course I am by far the biggest girl, so that was to be expected...

But, anyway, here's my Crossfit gym (and me)! So, now you can see me in action and see why I like this gym and the people...

The video was filmed by Chris, another one of our trainers and a professional MMA fighter...





P.S. 10 to 1 ladder means, 10 thrusters, then 10 sumo deadlift high pulls...then 9 thrusters, 9 sumo deadlift high pulls, etc...all the way down to 1! So, 55 total of each...my time was 11:26!

Mammography results...

Well, well...lookie what I got in the mail yesterday! My mammography results!



Whew...that's a relief! Woot!

My belly now during a Crossfit ab workout...

Okay, so last night on Crossfit, we were doing abs after the workout, so I asked my trainer to film me so I can have before/afters of my tummy...so, here is the before belly during a workout:





I'm really enjoying editing these videos. I was able to really cut out a lot of unncessary stuff from her filming (like she put the camera down and just walked away instead of shutting it off)...Thank you Windows Movie Maker...sweet.

And by the way, those GHD sit ups (not the abmat situps) are ridiculously tough for me, let me tell you...to chug out 25 right then was pretty rough for me...probably 1/1000th the pain I'll feel after they sew up my ab muscles, right? Right.

I don't think I look that HUGE with the abmat situps (no, I'm not a size 2, duh), just my stinking belly...so, can't wait for that to be gone!

And please note that I did the ab workout AFTER I did the following workout last night:

3 rounds for time:

30 box jumps (20")
30 kettlebell swings (35 pounds)
30 push press (55 pounds)

My time was 16:10. Then I had a 3 minute rest and it was time for abs and back extensions...ugh.
